COUNSELLING
FOR ADULTS & YOUNG PEOPLE (18+)
Online & Face-to-Face
How can I help?
As a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I work with people experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, stress, burnout, low self-esteem, and ‘stuckness’. I am here to offer support, encouragement and guidance towards a deeper understanding of yourself.
I also have experience working with work-related issues, bereavement, divorce, family and relationship problems, self-harm, suicidal ideation, panic attacks and depression, with particular experience and interest in working with anxiety-related issues.
My Approach
I work psychotherapeutically, at depth, with each individual as a whole, unique person, offering different perspectives of the human experience. I adapt how I work with each person depending on their needs in the here-and-now. I trained as a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, meaning I draw upon different theories to ensure I work in response to each individual’s needs. I work in a Person-Centred way to help me see the world from your viewpoint. I am informed by Transactional Analysis (T.A.) to explore patterns of relating within yourself and with others. I also use tools to bring awareness to the body’s experience in the present moment combined with the practice of self-acceptance and compassion.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) working within their Ethical Framework to ensure a safe and professional practice.
My Background
In 2015/16, after 11 years working as a knitwear designer in London and New York, I began exploring my true interests in holistic health and wellbeing and trained as a Health Coach (IIN) and Yoga Teacher. In 2017, after experiencing my own sense of anxiety, ‘stuckness’ and burnout, I finally left the world of corporate fashion behind me and began work as a Health and Wellbeing Mentor on a full-time wellness retreat in Spain. On returning to the UK, I gained a licence as a Firework™ Career Change Coach (having been a client of the programme myself) and set up my private online coaching practice in 2018 – a programme that I still run and integrate into my counselling if and when appropriate.
I gained my qualification as a counsellor in 2020 and have worked in charity, school and agency settings. I now work full-time in private practice as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor alongside my coaching practice.
